Set up a wind material instance
The supplied M_ProceduralLeaves and M_LeafInstances materials animate leaves through World Position Offset. The effect moves leaf surfaces; stems remain rigid.
- Enable Show Plugin Content and find the matching parent in Procedural Vines Content → Materials: M_ProceduralLeaves for cards, or M_LeafInstances for mesh instances.
- Create a material instance in your own project folder, then assign it to the vine actor's Vine Leaves → Leaf Material.
- Open the material instance, expand Wind, enable the parameter overrides, and adjust Wind Strength, Wind Speed and Wind Scale.
- Observe the leaves in a realtime viewport or during Play. Set Wind Strength to 0 to compare the still result.

| Parameter | Default / type | Effect and use |
|---|---|---|
| Wind Strength | 0.8 / scalar | Approximate leaf-tip sway in centimetres for the supplied materials. Set 0 to disable. |
| Wind Speed | 1 / scalar | Rate of the sway animation. |
| Wind Scale | 1 / scalar | How quickly wind phase changes across world space. |
Use your own foliage
Instanced wind is masked by distance from the leaf mesh pivot. Place the pivot at the stalk attachment so the blade can sway while its root stays close to the stem. Custom leaf materials need their own wind implementation; assigning an arbitrary material does not add the supplied effect. Material wind is separate from cached-path reveal and retraction and does not bend the generated stem route.
