Install the matching engine version
- Install the Morph Builder version matching your Unreal Engine release. For a source installation, extract the single
MorphBuilderfolder into your C++ project'sPluginsdirectory. - Build the project with Unreal's supported Windows C++ toolchain if you are installing source.
- Open Edit → Plugins, enable MorphBuilder, and restart. Its ProceduralMeshComponent dependency is declared in the descriptor.
- Enable Show Plugin Content in the Content Browser settings.
- Open
/MorphBuilder/Examples/Maps/L_MorphBuilder_Showcase. Press Play to inspect the supplied Broad/Tall morph animation.
Use the matching Unreal Engine 5.7 or 5.8 plugin package. Both versions were built and passed the three Morph Builder automation checks on Windows 64-bit. The separate example project targets 5.8. Keep a single installation: an engine copy and a project copy of the same plugin can conflict.
Create an authoring asset
In the Content Browser's asset creation menu, choose the MorphBuilder data asset. You can also duplicate /MorphBuilder/Examples/Data/DA_MorphStudy and set its Source Mesh to your duplicated study mesh.
The original study assets do not require a MetaHuman download.
